Maeva's First Christmas

with Santa at Waimauku Settlers for lunch with the Myatts, Cherelle and friends

Maeva still has no teeth and loves eating everything.
We have to be careful now because she is more mobile, she tends to slide and semi-crawl around to reach items on the floor. She loves her pacifier but will quickly drop this for something else if she sees one, like the tv remote, paper, wallet, handbag, paper napkins...everything but toys!!!
Maeva the little man Sometimes i wonder if she was meant to be a boy, heheh. She is always hyped, moving and refuses to be laid down or seated. She prefers to stand, even in her stroller, I have to force her to be seated and then I have to flip the stroller backwards to put her in a lying postion. Lately, she would be very active right before bedtime, and it would take me ages to put her to sleep. So in the end, i pass her to the sleep master, Gui.
pressies pressies everywhere
Again, M at home, on the 28th Dec, when we finally got time to open her pressies at home. We were in Auckland for the rest of the time. She didn't care about what was inside, she just wanted to eat the paper wrapping...wish she'd remain that way for the next 12 years, would save us lots of $$$!
Aztec meets PolynesianMaeva with Aztec singer in Thames a day before Christmas. I bought he this $2.00 hat and glued flowers on it, perfect for a day out in the sunshine!!!
happy campersa rare shot of us three, camping in Miranda by the Hot Pools. Sadly, I didn't have a great time as I was sick with the cold/flu but M had a great time watching the ducks, eating grass, swimming in the mineral hot pools, sleeping in the tent and roughing it a bit...
eating banana using the feeder
Maeva loves to eat.
She now takes solids, 3 meals a day. She eats anything. Everything. I bought this feeder and we put strawberries, banana, mango, pear, kiwifruit in it and she chews until the fruit is reduced to a pulp and her face is sticky with fruit.

Maeva's first Christmas will be remembered by her parents as very exciting, lots of pressies, lots of laughter and too much food.
Maeva has been a very happy camper, very cheerful and enjoying the attention. Thank you to all her family and friends for he gifts, letters and the love...we are thinking of you all this season. We both miss our homes and our loved ones but you are in our prayers and our thoughts.
Most of all, thank you to Cherelle who was with us this Christmas. You have been a great source of ummmm, information (i was gonna say inspiration too) hahah. nah, we missed you (seeing that youre here every other week!!!
ALofa atu and have a prosperous and fulfilling new year ahead.
