we had a midwife appointment last wednesday.
unfortunately, baby has flipped again and is now in an oblique position.
because i am now 38 weeks, it is no longer safe to just wait around.
we will go into the womens assessment unit on tuesday where the doctor will make an assessment.
heres what may happen
1. they check and baby has turned the right way - then i just come home and wait.
2. They make an appointment for me to return and then turn the baby
3. I get admitted immediately and wait for contractions, or they turn baby and induce me right there.
4. I have NO IDEA. So I am just going to drop Maeva off at kindy, and go with Gui to the hospital and be prepared for anything. With my baby/mama bag packed for any event.
I will keep updating this page, but in the meantime, everything is fine.
I am frantically making amendments to the thesis and hoping to submit whatever i got on Tuesday morning before I go my appointment.
I am giving my princessa big cuddles because in a few days or week, there will be someone else screaming in the house. She has been super awesome, giving me lots of hugs and kisses. She tickles my tummy and makes fun of the baby.
We had dinner at her friend Lucia's house 2 nights ago. We will drop her off at Lucia's or Stella's if we need to go to hospital suddenly/.
We are very fortunate to have so many caring friends who have offered to take Maeva off us when we need to go hospital.
At the same time, I am looking forward to having Cherelle over, nothing more assuring than having family over., and she is the best midwife I can ask for. She was with me when Maeva was born and was fantastic with helping me. But much much more so, Maeva will just love having her here.
Lastly, Gui has been super fantastic in running our household while I have been studying, working and growing fat. I went to the management labs yesterday and when i came home, he had cleaned the house, did 4 loads of washing and folded. Cared for Maeva. Made my baby girl clean her room and pick up her toys and made us yummy dinner.
All in all, we are very proud of Papa Gui, he has been awesome!!!
okay, back to thesis.
