But here I go...this is for my family and those close to me (:
My studies are done.
I submitted my 1 year thesis yesterday afternoon.
What a relief.
I hardly slept for about 3 days before submission.
Anyhow, it feels like a load off my shoulders, no more thinking about studied.
No more dreams and nightmares about methodologies and references.
I feel ALIVE!
Today, I felt strange bcause I had no deadline, no brick wall hindering my focus.
This study journey has given me many lessons:
1. Do not procrsatinate.
2. Do not get pregnant when doing thesis
3. Appreciate the time you have with your children. They mean more than anything else in the world...(besides good wine:-)
4. Surround yourself with good people, those who are positive and who bring happiness to your life.
5. Remove people who siphon the happiness from your life.
6. Always have a good stock of coffee in the kitchen
7. Manage your time wisely (yeah right, i couldn't do that!)
8. I have the most understanding, loving, supportive, caring, most awesome husband and daughter because they tolerated me in the last year and gae me the time and space to study (Most of the time).
9. Make sure your love your topic, because if you don't, then the year drags on and on and on...yawn.
10. Smile, life is too short to stress about the small stuff.
11. My sisters will always be there for me. (whether they like it or not!).
12. Be good to people, because you never know when you need a favour, like printing 200 pages, or cooking you a meal, or giving you their car when you are doing fieldwork, or simply beng there for you when you need someone to whine to.
Thank You Faafetai Merci!
