The World Cup has ended for our household, since both France and All Blacks lost pitifully.
We've now pledged our alliegance to LEAGUE.
Who cares about rugby anyway? hahah

Maeva Update
For the last 3 days, she has refused to be breastfed, and doesn't take much milk from the bottle. She's had a bad cough and we reckon she had a sore throat as well.
Anyhow, because she hasn't had good feeds, she's lost a bit of weight. So we are forcing her to drink drink drink every four hours.
Otherwise,shes a very happy babo and she LOVES her pacifier (soother/dummy).

Viva la France

It's official, everyone hates us today because we are habouring a french man, and a half french baby supporter.
All Blacks repeated history yet again and showed again how crap they are under pressure. Simply a bunch of over paid, over praised and over "conditioned" bunch of f@**@ts.
Frankly, I don't give a damn, but because I live in the heart of rugby mania, I thought i should say to the French team "Good on you, you shafted the ABs when it counted, well done!"
If those ABs know whats good for them, then they will not show their faces on NZ soil again. Graham Henry should move to Iceland.
It's a warm sunny Sunday morning and there's not a soul on the street.

For the last four years, NZ have been predicting and expecting that they will win the World Cup. So much so that they got a little cocky about it.

Shame on the All Blacks.(although, that try did come out of a forward pass)

We watched the rugby at Dwayne's house with about 15 diehard AB supperters, Gui was wearing his Marseille shirt from Thierry and his cap from Jackie.

Philipp is Julie's partner, Julie is Annemarie's daughter, Annemarie is Jacqui's sister, Jacqui is Gui's mom, and Gui is the nutcase i'm married to.

In other news, Samoa got their butts kicked out of the World Cup and I'm disgusted.
OUr government in Samoa must be bored out of their brains because they decided that from July next year, left hand drive vehicles would be phased out and right hand drive would be introduced.
Imagine the chaos, its bad enough as it is that everyone has their own road (rage) rules but now this!!!

Maeva Progress Report

Maeva is now 4 months and 2 weeks old.
She is a joy to have and now back to her happy smily baby state. She can roll over now (since 3 weeks ago) and she now sleeps through the night, Halleluia AMEN!!!
My last entry here was very depressing because we both did not adjust to my work situation smoothly.
She refused to take the bottle and unfortunately, i couldn't leave my boobie behind for her, so Gui and I both took turns driving her to get fed at my work during the day.
I felt so helpless and "hope"less, even contemplating stopping work so i could care for my little bubbooo but i also realise that its not a financially/economical decision to make.
Thankfully, Gui took the day off and spent it at the Parents Centre where he was assisted, probed, and well trained on how to get baby to take the bottle.
It took one day to get her familiarised, and a week later, she is as happy as larry. If i win the lottery one day, my millions will go to Parents Centre for sure.

So now, its all good in the hood, yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

Maeva Moelagi likes to be held upright, she also loved flexing her little feet and eating her fingers. She scratches her right ear when she is extremely tired and she smiles when there is lots of people talking, she listens intently when i hold her on my lap. Last night, Gui laid her on the bed and talked 'baby talk' to her and she would laugh loudly over and over.
Thankfully, her hair is growing back, and the bald spot is not as visible anymore. Her hair colour is mainly dark/brown blackish with some blond roots...uh oh!

Enough baby talk, i gotta get some sleep.....

Maeva Dramas Continued

I started back at work on Monday (2 days ago) and it has been so so so difficult because Maeva is refusing to take the bottle. She will only take the susu from me.
Which is a major dilemna because i work on one side of the city, Maeva is on one side and Gui in the opposite direction.
In the last two days, I had to drive across town to feed her, and then Gui would drive her to me for the afternoon feed.
Yesterday, I found it so hard to let her go because after I fed her, she vomitted her feed so I had to start all over again.
It broke my heart seeing her like that.
She's probably wondering ..."Why are you leaving me mommy??"
After Gui had driven away with her, I had to go to the bathroom at work and regain my composure because all I wanted to do was cry my eyes out.
I feel like I am not being a good mother for letting her go so soon and not breastfeeding her when she is hungry.
Gui took her to A&E last night and got some cough medicine because apparently, thats why she is vomiting because of the mucus blocking her (respiratory?) system.
Perhaps when she gets better she will take the bottle again, but for now, its an uphill struggle.
I'm not working today because I want to make sure she gets better and takes her medication.

I leave her with my friend Teu, who also has an infant daughter, Stella. Teu has been awesome with Maeva, especially since she has been a bit sick in the last 2 days.

Gui has been absolutely awesome doing all the chores at home and also making sure baby was well. He has been trying to reintroduce her to the bottle, he's bought every kind of baby bottle, pacifiers, spoons, cups anything that aids bottlefeeding, he's bought it.

God help us and let Maeva take the bottle PLEASE!!!!
