6 more sleeps before Maeva Moelagi starts school and she is thrilled.
She has already doing 2 school visits to familiarise herself.
The first visit, she was attached to me, shy and only became independent when it came time to do a fun activity.
Yesterday, she was on form, even putting up her wee hand to answer the questions.
Only trouble is she was asking me for the answers after a while...ae Malia e,
The rest of the school visit, I was trying to restrain Tuifiti from turning the room upside down.
In true Tuifiti fashion, he ignored the room full of exciting toys and tried to chew the power chords, grab scissors, climb on the table and just be the "destroyer" that his is affectionated called these days.
It was only when he was eating from the worm food bucket that I decided he was getting out of hand and took him outside to watch the ducks.
At the moment, I am looking at putting Tui into a daycare or other form of childcare near home and near Maevas new school. That will make it easier for us in the morning and pick up.
Moms visit
Mom came over intending to have 3 weeks break with us, but sadly Oka passed away 5 days after mom got here. Oka has been a father and Soo a mother for my mom and for us all. But for mom, those two have been advisers, spiritual guides and believed in her. Oka will be sadly missed.
It's strange that when we were in primary school, mex relle Diana and I used to go over to Oka's house to buy ice blocks... On the way past buying green mangoes at Leilua Kelemekes, ...we didn't know then that the almost blind vendor was Oka's mother who lived past a 100 years.
We are looking forward to having Relle over soon, ....or to be even more precise, Maeva is super thrilled to have her aunty over...starting school is secondary to relle any day.
